Weekly DOH Thrift Store Update

But now thus says the Lord,

he who created you, O Jacob,

 he who formed you, O Israel:

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

I have called you by name, you are mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;

when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,

and the flame shall not consume you.

For I am the Lord your God,

the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

I give Egypt as your ransom,

Cush and Seba in exchange for you.

Because you are precious in my eyes,

and honored, and I love you,

I give men in return for you,

peoples in exchange for your life.

Fear not, for I am with you;

I will bring your offspring from the east,

and from the west I will gather you.

I will say to the north, Give up,

and to the south, Do not withhold;

bring my sons from afar

and my daughters from the end of the earth,

Everyone who is called by my name,

whom I created for my glory,

whom I formed and made.”

~Isaiah 43:1-7~

God, with His everlasting unconditional love and unfathomable grace, is never far from us. He is always right by our side through every trial and every blessing. We are precious to Him! He has redeemed us! He loves us! There is nothing of this world that will keep Him away. He has called us each by name and we are His.

 This past week has been especially challenging for me. I have been struggling to understand all that God is doing right now in my life and in the lives of my families. But that is part of the beauty of my God. I don’t need to understand what is going on, or why He is allowing certain things to happen. He tells me in Matthew 6:25-34, Do Not worry for this life,” and right there in the first and fifth verse of Isaiah 43, “Fear Not,”. I “Do Not need to worry or fear what my future holds, He has great plans for me, ~ Jeremiah 29:11. He always has what is best for me in His plan. All I need to do is have faith and entrust my life in His hands completely. I have gone back to this passaged in Isaiah all week and I learned a new promise each time. These verses are from the heart of God, the Great I AM. They are for you and me.

My challenge for you this week is to claim these promises in your own life. To go beyond the mundane of our usual everyday living and grasp a new awe and joy of our Great and Mighty GOD. Uncover something unique each time you open your Bible. Look for the unusual on each page. We are precious, holy, loved. Live in these Words of our Creator.

 Blessings from our hearts to yours,
