Part 2: Freedom, What does it mean to you?

From before time began all beings had the freedom of choice. Lucifer and all of the fallen angels had a choice. I and every human being ever created has/had a choice. The choices are to live for, love, and serve God, or to live for me and everything that I want to do. I either live for God-good or Satan-evil. The choice is to either believe Truth or lies. Truth is, Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came and lived the perfect life that I couldn’t live. He was the only Way that the relationship between God and man could be restored. He was the perfectly perfect and completely complete sacrifice, the only one who could by the shedding of His blood redeem myself and everyone else to the Father. Truth is, God’s love is great. Truth is, Jesus is Perfect, Pure, and Holy. Truth is, you and I were created for a great purpose; we were created to bring honor and glory to God. We were created to further His Kingdom, so that all may know Him and the power of His gospel. Truth is, perfect love cast out all fear. (1John 4:18) Truth is, “Thus said the Lord.” “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

Because we were created with the freedom choice. We can choose all of Truth; or we can become enslaved to the enemies lies. We have the freedom to choose surrender. We have the freedom to give God complete control of our lives. He plants Truth deep within the heart. It becomes my identity. He takes my heart and replaces it with His own. He even places His Spirit in me as a seal. (Ephesians 1:13) When I surrender to His Lordship, there is freedom because I have surrendered to Truth, thus breaking the bondage of lies. Freedom is found in surrender, because then He plants Truth into your heart.

Freedom is living a life of constant surrender. Normally when we hear the term surrender in a fight or war, we think of the person who was too weak and is giving up. In life, it is the exact opposite. When we surrender all we have, all we are, and all we want to be to the One who is our strength and who fights for us, we then can be set free.

And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is

made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather

boast in my infirmities, that the power of  Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches,

in needs, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake.

For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV

We cannot find freedom with our own strength, but with our God we can overcome all things. Surrendering all to Him, so that in His perfect strength we find the freedom we are looking for and are made whole; made free. Because God is the Utmost, the Complete, we can stand fully surrendered with our hearts wide open knowing we are safe in His arms. Resting in the hands of our Saviour is the only place our souls may truly be free.
