“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

~ Revelations 21:4

“The Lord gave and the Lord hath taketh away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

~ Job 1:21

This past weekend my little brother graduated from high school and with the celebrating came bittersweet memories. Many of you may not know that my Father died four years ago. Death does not stop the world, life goes on. Birthdays, graduations, neices and nephews being born and weddings will always bring a tear to my eye. They bring back the life that was and the life that will never be. I can easily sit for hours and cry about all lifes precious moments my Dad is missing or I can praise my heavenly Father and thank Him for all the years my Daddy was here on earth. Some days are harder than others, yet joy is around the corner. My Dad once told me “there is always healing-pierced hands near when we hurt the most, just as God always sends a ‘promise’ rainbow after the rain.” (Genesis 9:12-17)

My journey is not more difficult than yours, only different. I am learning to praise Him in all thingds. I don’t want to look back in five years and see me standing in the rain, I want to see me DANCE IN THE RAIN! I want to encourage you to not give up, fight on. Struggles will come, and with them a ‘promised rainbow’ at the end of the storm. Do not fear tomorrow nor the future (Matt.6:25-31, Jeremiah 29:11), for the Lord has graven us upon the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16)
