Weekly DOH Thrift Store Update

The Thrifty Speaks: a monthly post by one of the thrifties.  (this month Rachel Campbell)

For many of us, being a thrifty means being away from our family, often a couple of months at a time. It also means learning people skills; interacting not only with each other, but also interacting with customers. For me personally, one of the things that is happening in my own heart is that Christ has become my identity. This I believe is one of the greatest things I can ever live out, to hear and believe what God says about me, to be clothed in the righteousness of Christ. Identity is looking at what God say about me, and believing that, instead of hearing what others may say about me. It  is believing and receiving His promises. To be confident in who I am, because of what Jesus has done for me (taking my sin on Him and placing His righteousness in me… and much more). :) On a slightly lighter (actually much lighter) note, a thrifty is  someone who may practically live off of coffee (we often play take-one while drinking it). I also think that ice cream could be a food group of its own!

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
